One LA-IAF is a network of diverse religious and non-profit institutions across LA County committed to building relational power and exercising that power to strengthen our communities and bring about a more just society by:

• Building strong relationships within and across our communities; 
• Equipping our members with leadership and organizing skills; and
• Acting powerfully together on concrete issues facing our communities.     

We raise our own money through membership dues.

We deliberate and make democratic decisions. We teach and practice a culture of learning, reflection and action.   

We are non-partisan and accept no government money, giving us the freedom to act on the interests and values of our members.  We evaluate ourselves based on whether we are creating a more just society, whether we are developing leaders and whether we are building power.

One LA-IAF is affiliated with the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF), the oldest and largest national organizing and leadership development network in the United States, and the West / Southwest IAF.
